What the students say.....

' I feel Nicola gets the balance just right of being a sound draftsman in botanical drawing who is more than willing and able to impart her knowledge and skill, whilst at the same time, she makes the class feel inspired, eager and encouraged to work to the best of their ability'  Sandra

Art Class

Friendly informal tuition for artists of all abilities from absolute beginners to the more experienced. Subjects covered include flowers/plants, fruit, vegetables and other natural forms eg shells, pebbles, feathers.

Working from life (where ever possible) and with photographic aids students will develop their drawing skills using a variety of media including graphite, charcoal and ink.  The student will explore various watercolour painting and coloured pencil techniques with a view to developing their own personal style.

Class sizes are small  so there is plenty of one to one tuition, tailored to the student's needs. Nicola provides advice on materials / equipment  and demonstrates painting/ drawing techniques.
